Punta Paraíso
A 26 m² gatehouse articulates the entrance to Punta Paraíso Beach & Lagoon as a landscape threshold: an icon visible from three roads, wrapped in layered native vegetation and materials that anticipate the character of the whole development.

The project proposes that access to a development of this scale begins communicating its identity from the very first point of contact. The entry gatehouse becomes a welcoming device that condenses program, landscape, and signage into a single architectural gesture — positioned at the distribution roundabout and visible from the three vehicular roads that converge at the site.
The compact volume brings together reception, kitchen, security, and services within just 26 m², with stone-clad partition walls and dimensional lettering in alucobond defining the access totem. An infinity-edge water mirror with cascading flow, finished in gold anodized mirror alucobond, and warm projected LED lighting shape both the daytime and nighttime experience of the threshold.
The project builds its relationship with the surrounding landscape through a rigorously stratified plant palette: six strata of native species — from trees reaching up to 40 meters, such as the Ceiba and Royal Palm, to magenta-flowering shrubs and perimeter spiny vegetation — organize the landscape with ecological and access-control criteria. A passenger drop-off bay, a pedestrian path, and parking spaces — including three for electric carts — complete an entrance sequence that manages movement with both precision and intention.
